PORT MANAGEMENT

Our company, operating in collaboration with IDO at the Maltepe port, is responsible for all precautions and regulations in this area, in addition to conducting dangerous goods operations at the port. Our personnel carry out document checks for operators, inspections of trucks and tank inspection certificates, particularly for LNG and LPG trailers, during ship entries.

What are Dangerous Goods?

These are materials that require special attention during transport and storage because they pose a risk to human health and safety, as well as to other materials in their environment. Dangerous goods, or HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) as abbreviated internationally, refer to solids, liquids, and gases that can harm goods, the environment, or organisms. Our ships, which are authorized for the maritime transportation of all types of flammable, combustible, explosive, and other dangerous materials in accordance with the necessary permits, documents, and regular inspections by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, also undergo routine inspections and checks by our in-house experts in dangerous goods and occupational safety. These ships facilitate sea passage between the Maltepe and Zeyport ports in collaboration with İDO for ADR trailer vehicles, which are prohibited from using specific highways and bridge crossings.
